Course Description

In order to promote market appeal and a strong user experience, websites and web applications require user-friendly and appealing front ends.
Students develop skills to support these characteristics, including facility with coding HTML, XHTML, and CSS, as well as the insertion of graphics and video into websites.


Course Outcomes

Successful completion of this course will enable the student to:

  1. Plan and organize a website to meet user requirements.
  2. Apply the best practices of website development to meet design specifications.
  3. Use Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) to create semantic webpages.
  4. Use current Cascading Style Sheets 3 specifications (CSS3) to enhance the style and layout of websites.
  5. Create navigation on a website using hyperlinks, menus and lists to promote usability.
  6. Make use of pictures and images to enhance visual appeal and functionality of webpages.
  7. Build interactive multi-form web pages using HTML code to accept user input.
  8. Use advanced HTML5 and CSS3 features to enhance websites with multimedia.
